Photo Collaboration

A photo collaboration between me and my wonderful friend, Rose in Romania. Each week we will choose a theme and show the Romanian and American counterpart. This week's them is "Summertime Treats: Things we like to experience in the summer." Rose's shot is the pear on the left and mine is the margaritas on the right. I have never seen such a beautiful pear. Of course, the ones that I see are in a crate at the grocery store. This one was actually from her mother's yard.

Twitter: Quick Poll

Are any of you really using Twitter? If you do have a Twitter account, do you tweet or just use it to follow other people's tweets? 

Here's my story:

I had an account. Accrued a thousand followers. Found it annoying. Deleted the account. Reinstated the account. Deleted the people that were all multi-level marketing idiots. Then deleted the account again. I tried to reinstate the account one more time. Twitter chortled at me and said, "Sorry. All gone." I created a new account.  And once again, failed at Twitter. I'm a Twitter dropout.

I'm just not sure it's necessary. But I feel like a social-media failure for not loving it. I have lots of amusing things to say, but I'm just not sure that my employer, coworkers, or ex-husband need to read it, since it would mostly likely involve one of them.

Birthday Cupcakes

I got these cupcakes for my birthday and Stephanie wouldn't eat them. She has this sensor in her nose that alerts her to cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise—none of which she will eat. I'm pretty sure she's not my kid. Does anyone else have such an aversion? I don't get it. The first time I tasted cream cheese I thought I was in heaven.

And, I think this blog will be moving in the near future. I will keep you all posted.

Update:
The reason I want to move this blog is manifold:

1. I desperately want to have everything under one roof--logistically it's a headache for me to have to maintain different blog platforms.
2. I have spent a fair amount of money and time on domains, hosting, add-ons, and other cool customizations on my main site and want to take full advantage of those resources. 
3. Mobile blogging. Another strong reason for the switch. With the release of the new iPhone 4 tomorrow, I now find myself eager to post my photos and HD videos while on the go, and blogger just doesn't make that as easy as my custom WordPress blog does.
4. A better experience for the user. It loads faster and is easier to navigate. Plus, some people know about this blog and not my other blog and some people know about my other blog and not this one.

I will most likely not be deleting this blog at all. What I intend to do is just re-route visitors with a link to my WordPress blog and let everyone know this blog has a new home. 

Birthday Flowers

Okay, not sure what kind of flowers these are but, yes, they really are that friggin' pink. I did not touch up this photo. Call me crazy, but something tells me that the color might not be... natural. So far 40 is going okay.

I had to buy "LAUGH" and "DREAM" because I didn't see any of the "CRY" and "SCREAM" left at the store--I suspect they are quite popular.
